Invented in 1949, glass-fused-to-steel tanks incorporate a significant advancement in tank coating technology. Through sophisticated chemistry and highly specialized production processes, applies vitreous enamel (Vitrium™) to both sides of a steel sheet which is incorporated in a bolt-together tank with lap joints utilizing mastics for the sealers between the joints.
Typically constructed with a concrete slab floor/foundation system, the tanks are easy to assemble and are virtually maintenance free, never requiring repainting. These tanks are designed to meet the rigid standards of AWWA D103, NRCS, FWI and other detailed specifications.
Engineered Storage Products, a sister company to CST Vulcan, in Dekalb, IL USA manufactures the unique Glass-Fused-To-Steel technology and it is marketed under the Aquastore® brand name worldwide.
Typical Applications:
Municipal water supply and wastewater treatment tanks, various oils & fluids, industrial process water, industrial wastewater treatment, fire protection water, agricultural feed, grain and anaerobic digesters.
